    1. Terms and Conditions

      BCUSU Reward Scheme – Terms and Conditions

      BCUSU Reward Scheme is operated by BCUSU Limited, BCUSU” or “we”). These Terms and Conditions apply to your participation in, and use of the features on offer by, BCUSU Reward Scheme at the location (“Location”) at which BCUSU provides retail and hospitality services to its clients (which, for the purposes of these terms and conditions, is the “Provider”).


      The Key Features of BCUSU Reward Scheme

      The key features of BCUSU Reward Scheme are as follows:

      • At participating Locations, you may be able to use BCUSU stamp collector Card (the “Card”) and/or BCUSU Reward App (the “App”) for the collection and redemption of loyalty stamps, and to potentially benefit from promotional vouchers (“Vouchers”) at participating Locations. See sections 1 and 2 below for the relevant terms and conditions.

      Use of the Card, the App or other features of BCUSU Reward Scheme

      Use of the Card, the App or other features of BCUSU Reward Scheme will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, which together with our Privacy Policy and Website Terms and Conditions govern our relationship with you in relation to BCUSU Reward Scheme.

      You must reside in the UK and be aged 16 or over to participate in BCUSU Reward Scheme and access any of the features described above.

      Getting BCUSU Reward App

      As a customer of the Provider or another person approved by the provider, you may download the App which enables you to participate in BCUSU Reward Scheme whereby you will collect loyalty stamps on purchases made at the Location, and potentially also benefit from Vouchers.

      Your Location may be enabled to participate in BCUSU Reward Scheme via the App alone; or may be enabled for the use of Cards as well.

      The App is free of charge and can be downloaded from the BCUSU website at www.bcusu.com or if available, via a QR code that may be found on marketing material within your participating Location. Certain mobile devices may not support the App, in which case you will not be able to use it. You will need to register your mobile device against your Account before the App can be used. You can use the App to create a new Account, or you can register the App against your existing Account. If you change mobile devices, you will need to register the new device on the Website before using the App to access your information.

      You may only use the Card and/or the App at your Provider’s Location, and not at sites of our other clients that are participants in similar schemes. If your Provider has multiple Locations which are participants in BCUSU Reward Scheme, the use of your Card and/or the App at multiple Locations will be subject to our approval (as agreed with the Provider).

      You may cancel or delete your App at any time but if you do so, you may forfeit the right to any stamps that have accumulated on your Account that have not been used and may forfeit any balance of monies on the Account where the Cashless System applies (see below regarding refunds). We may ask you to delete the App in accordance with our instructions.

      If your smartphone with the App is lost or stolen, you must notify us of this via the Website. BCUSU will not be liable for any resulting loss of stamps, vouchers, or monies.

      Your Loyalty Stamps

      Stamps can be accrued and redeemed against certain purchases made at the Location. We reserve the right to restrict the products against which stamps may be redeemed at our discretion (and as may be advised to us by the Provider). Please ask a BCUSU employee at the Location for more information.

      Stamps cannot be accrued or redeemed against any functions.

      Stamps will be earned at the time of purchase, provided the App is presented at the point of sale. If the loyalty terminal is not working and/or if our systems are down due to an event beyond our control, you should still be able to accrue points. However, we will not be responsible for any loss suffered by you in such circumstances particularly if you are unable (in these circumstances) to collect or redeem points against your current transaction. If you forget your App we cannot add points to your account later.

      Stamps will accrue on the entire transaction (provided no excluded items are being purchased). Stamps can only be collected against purchases where a till and card reader is present.

      You can check how many stamps you have and redeem full cards at the Location.

      You will only be able to redeem your stamp cards against purchases made at the Location.

      If you have a discrepancy regarding the number of stamps on your Account, we may require you to provide receipts as proof of purchase to back up any claim. If the evidence is satisfactory (to us), we will change the stamps allocated to the applicable Account to reflect the correct position.

      We will not exchange full stamp cards for cash and reserve the right to remove from your Account any stamps that have not been redeemed for over 12 months.

      General

      BCUSU can cancel or withdraw the App and/or the Scheme (whether in relation to your Provider or generally) for any reason at any time. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide you with as much written notice as possible.

      We may also change these Terms and Conditions as is necessary by updating them on our website. You should therefore check the Website from time to time to review these Terms and Conditions, because they are binding on you.

      We shall not be responsible or held liable for any default or event arising directly or indirectly from any cause or event beyond our control. To the extent permitted by law, we also will not be liable for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with the App, or BCUSU Reward Scheme, including but not limited to loss or damage due to viruses that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing the App, this Website or otherwise connected with BCUSU Reward Scheme. To the extent that we may be liable, our aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount directly paid by you to participate in BCUSU Reward Scheme.
